After placing a down payment on 18.7 acres of land and signing the promissory note to begin Project Samuel Latin America, Pastor Quinto asked, “What would you like to do now?” My immediate response was “I want to go back to the land and see some children.” The meeting we were just leaving was huge steps for Relationships for Christ Ministries because it takes our ministry global. If I told you I wasn’t overwhelmed I would be lying but I knew seeing the children could calm me. We drove up to the land and Kilber, a Nicaraguan friend, went to find some children. Not long after he left, about 10-15 smiling little faces come running around the corner laughing and giggling. Each and everyone of them would come and hug us and tell us their names. After that initial hug, I knew I was right in the middle of the will of God for Amanda and I and there I felt like I was home.
I don’t know why God has given me such a passion for the children of Latin America but its one that lives deep inside my heart. It’s this passion that drives me day in and day out to continue doing ministry in Latin America and to continue helping these children. I see the day that PSLA grows from Nicaragua to several countries in Central and South America and the thousands of children that will be reached because of it and I thank God he chose me to be a part of such a life changing ministry.
Please be in prayer with Relationships for Christ Ministries as we continue raising the needed funds to pay off the land in Nicaragua and begin construction, but most importantly so we can begin impacting these beautiful young children in Nicaragua.
