The last two months have gone by in a blur of road trips, airplanes, days at the office, meetings, and lots and lots of coffee. I was on my way to the RFC Ministries office this morning, and I thought of all the exciting things that have happened in these past weeks. Chris and I closed one chapter after being in Zambia at Project Samuel for 8 months, and within three days of returning to the States God opened a new one. December 18, 2013 is a day I will remember forever; it is the day that we placed a down payment on the land in Nicaragua to begin Project Samuel Latin America. It was the day I felt I was home, the day I felt responsible for hundreds of people I hadn’t met yet.
On our way back to the States, Pastor Timothy, Chris, and I were so excited, we started brainstorming and scbribbling “to do lists” on scratch pieces of paper, and drawing mock buildings on napkins in the airport. I left part of my heart in Nicaragua two months ago in the smiles of sweet children that had anticipation and hope in their eyes. I can’t wait to get back to feel like I am whole again.
We have been working diligently meeting with people who are interested in getting involved in the life changing ministry of Project Samuel; people that share our hearts for children in Latin America. Please continue to pray with us as we raise funds for the land in Nicaragua, there is such a huge responsibility waiting for us there; Hope is coming.
