I want you to meet Yudari. She is one of the children we serve at Project Samuel Nicaragua. This sweet girl is learning English in our English as a second language classes. She also attends our Bible study classes. Yudari loves Jesus and she wants to know more about him.
This past weekend we celebrated the the life of a dear friend Wendell Williams. He was an awesome man of faith and a great champion of Project Samuel. Bro Wendell was one of the most compassionate and generous people I know. Towards me he was always uplifting and graceful to a fault, quick to remind me that God’s promises enough.
Oh how he loved the children of Project Samuel and he never let a week go by without asking about them and about Brenden. He embraced the children in Nicaragua and that country had a special place in his heart. I remember the scolding he gave me when he saw the Christmas list one year. He said “Christmas should bring joy to children. There are too many practical things on that list. Use my donation to by some gifts that will bring joy to the children.”
I know my friend is in a better place but I can’t help but shed tears. Not for Bro Wendell but because this world needs more people like him.

This Sunday we are hosting our first community event at Project Samuel Nicaragua with an afternoon full of music, food and worship. The children are practicing for a presentation they will be doing at the worship event. I will post more photos Sunday evening.
I know I post a lot about construction but at Project Samuel Nicaragua we care about the children of Nicaragua. Buildings are important because they give us a base to operate from, but we love to serve the children of our community.
This past Saturday Rob did a Children’s Ministry Leaders Training in Tipitapa. So glad to be a part of helping churches serve children.
Happy Mother’s Day from Project Samuel! Today we say thank you to all the amazing women who have loved, supported, prayed and cared for our Project Samuel children over the years. These are just a few of the amazing women that have poured into our kids! Happy Mother’s Day! #projectsamuel
