It was a cloudy day, one we Houston-ites have seen far too many of, there was a little chill in the air as I walked down the side walk gripping my coffee (AKA manna in liquid form). For once I didn’t have a checklist or an agenda I was going over, I was simply walking to my part time job enjoying the weather. My thoughts turned, as they always do, to Project Samuel and how much I miss our kids in Zambia, Nicaragua, and Colombia. I have a slide show that plays in my mind of all the little hopeful smiles that miss me in return.
I couldn’t help but smile to myself and think of how unbelievably thankful I am for a ministry that allows me to live out the principals of serving, giving, and loving! Don’t get my wrong, there have been days I did NOT feel thankful…all I felt was tired and let everyone know it, but then that slideshow gets playing, and I remember exactly who I am working for.
I really want to encourage you to find a place where you can SERVE! Be a part of something greater than yourself, it truly is the most rewarding and joyous feeling that I can’t accurately explain. If you would like to get involved serving with RFCM, please let me know! We would love to work along side you!
