Many of you have heard me talk about Naomi. She is a little girl who has stolen my heart at Project Samuel Nicaragua. Though she is too young to talk, we have this bond I can’t explain. She is who I search for when we get to the project; this recent trip was no different .
For those of you who don’t know the story, I met Naomi when she was 3 months old. She was born right across the fence from Project Samuel in a tin shack that has a dirt floor. When I met her, she was very sick and we prayed for her. Naomi got worse, and when I heard I was truly devastated…and a bit angry if I am being honest.
BUT GOD.
He whispered into my heart that Naomi is the representation of why he brought us to Project Samuel. She represents all the children we are bringing hope to, whether it be in the form of bible study, medical care, love, or education. She embodies all that Project Samuel seeks to restore.
Naomi is doing better, and reaches for me when she sees me. God is going to do an amazing work with her life and I am humbled that he is going to let me be a part of that journey.
